Tanti Auguri SOME LIKE IT FOLK!!!
E' ormai da un anno che mi sono allegramente imbarcato nell'operazione "Some Like It Folk". Ho trovato lo "strumento blog" molto appropriato per poter ricercare, riascoltare e riproporre materiale musicale a me molto caro, proveniente dalla tradizione anglo-celtica. 42 post leggeri, senza troppe descrizioni o pretese didascaliche, ma solo con il desiderio di condividere con qualche appassionato la musica che mi piace, seguendo un filo (poco) logico personale o semplicemente l'intuizione del momento.

Tremila visite non avrei mai pensato di averle un anno fa, quando - più che altro per gioco - avevo cominciato ad armeggiare con i layout di blogspot per capire come infilare contenuti video in una pagina web disegnata scritta e realizzata da me. Dunque la decisione ora è presa: si spegne la prima candelina e si va avanti!
Una nota sulla torta (cioccolato, panna e... Photoshop!) con candelina nella foto: è del primo compleanno di mio figlio, nato in Scozia da genitori italiani. In questa storia famigliare c'erano già tutte le premesse perchè nascesse anche "Some Like It Folk"!

La scelta musicale del giorno, la colonna sonora di questo compleanno, mi sembra scontata: ero partito - primo giorno, primo post - con la mia folk song preferita, "Who kows where the time goes" di Sandy Denny, e mi faccio accompagnare da Sandy oggi, con uno dei rarissimi video live ritrovabili in rete. It 's been a year since I happily embarked on the "Some Like It Folk" project. I found the "blog tool" very appropriate to look for, listen and repropose music from the Anglo-Celtic tradition I am very fond of. 42 posts, without much descriptions or didactic claims, but only with the desire to share with some passionate like you the music I like, following a (not so) logical thread or just the personal intuition of the moment.

Three thousand visits, I never thought it could have been happened a year ago, when - mostly for fun - I started tinkering with the blogspot layouts to understand how to put video content on a web page designed written and created by me.

So the decision will now be taken: let's blow out the first candle and move on!

A note on the cake (chocolate, cream and ... Photoshop!) With a candle in the picture: it was the first birthday of my son, who was born in Scotland from Italian parents. In this family history there were maybe the origins of "Some Like It Folk"!

I have no doubts about the musical choice of the day, this birthday's soundtrack: I started - first day, first post - with my favorite folk song, "Who kows where the time goes" by Sandy Denny, and I wish to be accompanied by Sandy today, with one of her rare live video clips available on the network.
