Beoga - “How to Tune a Fish”, a 2011 bestseller

“How to Tune a Fish” dei Beoga, la band nordirlandese arrivata così alla propria quarta incisione, è stato uno dei CD di folk irlandes più venduti del 2011. A conferma di ciò hanno ricevuto importanti riconoscimenti, tra cui spicca il titolo di miglior Irish Traditional Album 2011 decretato dal giornale newyorkese THE IRISH ECHO.
La recensione pubblicata esprime ovviamente giudizi entusiastici:

IRISH ECHO (di Earle Hitchner). Sono i Beoga che possono essere considerati la risposta più vicina dell'Irlanda a The Band in quanto a virtuosismo d'insieme, capacità di assumersi rischi, e palato musicale onnivoro. La varietà dei Beoga è sempre impeccabile, e la loro quarta registrazione “How to Tune a Fish” è uno dei dischi più emozionanti e avventurosi che ho sentito nel 2011. La band certo non scherza quanto ad scherza originalità (14 dei 15 brani sono stati composti da membri della band), agli arrangiamenti, suonare e cantare. “How to Tune a Fish” rappresenta inventiva di prim'ordine, spesso paradossalmente fornendo selvaggio abbandono insieme a controllo totale. Questa nuova registrazione dell'infinitamente fantasioso quintetto irlandese è un certamente destinato a irrompere nella top five della mia lista dei migliori album del 2011. Beoga's “How to Tune a Fish”, their 4th CD, has been one of the best selling Irish folk recordings of 2011. They even got an important reward as best Irish Traditional Album 2011 by the New York-based newspaper THE IRISH ECHO. The review of the album is, of course: enthusiastic:
