Con un suggerimento molto gentile, un anonimo visitatore di questo blog mi ha mostrato il link a quest'altro brano nella lista dei BBC Folk Awards Radio2 (Ancore per il Miglior brano originale). Ecco il video di "On Morecambe Bay", scritto da Kevin Littlewood e interpretato da Christy Moore, qui su RTE ONE insieme a Declan Sinnott alla chitarra. La canzone racconta la storia tragica di 23 cinesi annegati nelle acque di Morecambe Bay (circa 40 miglia a nord di Liverpool) qualche anno fa. La resa di Christy è calda, potente e provocante come sempre. La registrazione del brano si trova sul suo ultimo CD, Folk Tales (che si può acquistare QUI).

The song tells the tragic story of 23 Chinese cockel-pickers who were drowned in the waters of Morecambe Bay (40 odd miles north of Liverpool) a few years ago. Christy's rendition is warm, powerful and provoking as always, and can be found on his latest CD recording, Folk Tales (that you can buy HERE).
